Side pipe straight pipes?

I have OEM style side pipes on my '71, with reproduction side pipe mufflers. I'm installing electric cutouts and running quiet mufflers out the rear. (Haters stop here, I take long road trips and don't need the "noise").
Has anyone run straight exhaust through the side covers? I'd like a more aggressive note for showing off.
Too much?

I'm running sidepipes with 2 1/2" straight pipes- combo electric cut-outs

The engine is only 328cubic inches- but have a few extra cylinders.

I don't think it's too loud-but it is completely varible-

I have hooker long tube open header side pipes on my 69 with a worked 350 and Richmond 6 speed and love the sound especially when going under overpasses with other cars

just have to wear long pants to stop burning my legs
