Default First C8 sighting comes in my C3!

I've been waiting forever to see a C8. In a parking lot. On the street. In a ditch. Anywhere.
And lucky me it would come in my plastic Chevy! Better yet was having my wife riding shotgun who got this cool "Corvette Evolution" shot off the starboard side....

I have to admit this. I wasn't that impressed with the tail end. It's not ugly or anything like that. It's just kind of "Camaro-ish"
And those stripes. This is almost a must for anything badged Ford GT. But a Corvette?

Side view & roofline? Pure Erotica. That "boomerang" really sticks out. And to me it looked almost chopped.
Another plus was the nose. You could dot an i with that point. Best since our C3s...
It made me wonder what the C1 guys thought about the C2 when it came out.
That was really the last time there was such a dramatic change in styling.
So what do my C3 brothers who have seen one of these in person think?

Have just seen one from about 100 yards away, but thought it was a McLaren at first. Camaro-like rear end has plagued the C7 and since. (And I own a C7). I guess it’s hard to maintain that stingray profile in a mid engine car.

I saw one on a mountain road by me. I was too busy driving to even think about a picture, but we both got a good wave in.

I like the looks of it.... but for the price..... if I had the money, I`d probably buy another C3 AND a C2.

I saw a silver one at a show a few months ago.

The only picture I took was of the engine. That should tell you something.

I thought the hood looked like a paper airplane that had been unfolded and laid out flat.

A few weeks ago coming back from the zoo I saw an obvious exotic approaching. Ferraris and Lambos are fairly common because there is a dealership that carries them. What was it?

Ford GT. First I've seen on a road.

Take a left at the light and see another exotic coming. I'm thinking Ferrari or Lambo again.

What was it? Black c8. First one I've seen on a road. Liked it much better watching it come at me.

That was a good 1 mile stretch of road.

Im sorry but the first 3/4 of the car looks good. From the skinny rear tires on back its horrible, no other way to put it.
Just has a generic kids toy look? Lots complained about the rear of the C7 so they do it again and make it worse.

I got to see the C8 up close and personal not long after the reveal when GM brought one to the vintage races during Monterey Car week. I didn’t like the brown color, but we got to crawl all around the car as well as see the cutaway model.

The car was stunning. Not only is it thrilling bringing its technology into this millennium, but the styling and lines were fantastic.

Ive wanted Corvette to come up with a new design to make me want to buy a new one again, but the cars have left me cold for so long. This C8 just makes all the last few gens so dated overnight. I’ll definitely buy one at some point; the question is coupe or convertible. What a home run this car is.

The first time I saw a C8 on the road I thought it was a Lambo. That's not a compliment...

Cool cutaway pic vettebuyer.
So does the C8 have two radiators?

Makes me think that the corvette has evolved into a Corvair, is there and air cooled engine on the horizon.

Lol, I think it’s funny that the car has just caught up to my ‘79 Ferrari’s engine placement technology.

I guess none of you C8 bashers know that the C8 is not available with a manual trans. Fire away.

Saw one last Sunday in town, passed each other at 25mph and exchanged waves... That guy had the biggest smile on his face and isn't that what this is all about...

I liked what I saw, the tail end is not the best part but the car looks fast going slow. Once they get in circulation the price of C7s might come down a little more, I like them...

I saw my first, and only C8, a couple weeks ago as I was traveling down a rainy highway in my SUV. I saw it coming in my rearview and by the time he got completely around me I thought to myself 'Uh oh, I gotta have one' .... I think they look awesome.

My wife and I went out for a drink one nice evening last May. We parked next to this beautiful C8.

2020 and 1975

1975 and 2020--45 years apart

That was the first C8 I had seen up close. Stunning piece of engineering technology!

Answer is yes!
I tailed the guy for 3 or 4 miles hoping he would pull over for a little chat, but no luck.
