Default Mazda Lights on 69

Looking for some advice on replacing Pneumatic headlight doors with Mazda headlight door mechanism on my 69. My guy and I recently bought our Vette and we are contemplating the Mazda light kit (huge question mark). Let me preface this by stating, we are at the starting gate with this car. I am happy with the purchase but the more we inspect and educate the greater our anxiety becomes. Both of us can handle easy/medium repairs. Heavy (hard) stuff, I hate to admit, we are going to have to recruit outside help. Say for example, the transmission. Anyone who has done the conversation from pneumatic to electric, your wisdom would be appreciated. More specifically, if you used a Mazda kit, thoughts, issues and advice.

Nice car! Take a look at this thread first. Then go to the "search" button, put electric headlights in the "searh titles only", then select the C3 general column. There`s TONS of info, pictures, videos, & diagrams on the subject. I LOVE the electric headlight & wiper doors on my 71 coupe!

DO search for the headlight conversion there is a lot of info and different ways to do it. In the above thread go to #25. Richard can walk you thru the whole process. I bought my Probe motors a long time ago before they became so popular. It took me some time to get it done, but it couldn't have been easier. It's a fun project and you will get immediate gratification. Good first project on a nice looking car.

I bought a set of headlight brackets from Richard 454 and the miyata motors-all about 2 years ago... Procrastination-I just took the dash apart and column out to do my t56 conversion and in the spirit and looking to take this on at the same time... Dont want to do the relay-looking for wiring for using a c4 switch instead. How is this done? New pigtail or am I just putting the old pigtail on and adding 2 blade connectors? Anybody do a writeup?

Thank you,
Rob

I have put together a DIY in PDF format- and have a bracket template.

There are several ways to wire it- and I have the diagrams in the PDF- the color break outs for both the Ford Probe and Miata motors

Just shoot me an email an I'll be glad to send it over to you-
