Exhaust welded to frame
Hey everyone, I have posted before about a vibration and I have it in the shop. They feel the exhaust system that was put on which is a Hedden headers and exhaust in a H design being welded to the frame in 6 places is causing the vibration. They want to put hangers on it. In theory that sounds correct to me and the car does have some other engine work like a different cam. I just wanted a second opinion on this before I get it done. I do feel the vibration more on acceleration.

As a professional mechanic of over 40 years I can assure you that they ARE NOT giving you a bum steer. Your engine/trans is rubber mounted and needs to move. Your exhaust system which is solidly mounted to the heads on your engine needs to move with it. No exhaust system on ANY car should be solidly mounted to the frame in any way.
