A passing away.....
Through the decades it seems that I manage to stay in contact with some people for many long years. Interesting, I didn't plan it that way, it just happened. In this case, I mostly bought parts from this person. He went by "Jim" and sold parts as Pacific Corvette out of Oregon. I believe he was associated with the Pacific Corvette out of Washington and when they closed down, he made it a side job/gig. In any case, I bought parts from Jim and sometimes he helped me find parts.
In August, I called him and he sounded sickly on the phone, bad loose cough, said he wasn't feeling good. He quickly found my part and shipped it out. A short while later I needed another part and I reached out to him. I couldn't make contact, noboby was answering emails or phone contact. Long story short. His grandson saw my emails and contacted me yesterday and said that JIM and his WIFE passed away from covid-19 in August. That had to be right after he sent me my parts.
Jim was a good guy and he was enjoying life. Please stay safe and be careful out there. Take precautions. Terr
