First, I want to thank the members here that through experience, helped me in the decision to see what I could get for 20K.
I now own a 71' Nevada Silver 350/270 4sp convertible..
A 50 year old very primitive vette. No ps, pb or electric windows. What a beast!
It is modified but the seller who owned the car for 35 years kept the original motor, shift assembly, base hood (It has a LT1 on it now), original rear end including the 9 blade leaf.
I didn't get the original wheels or radio. The spare rubber looks fifty years old.
The car and I are a match. Old and in need of some repair or new parts.
It is a driver. Not a survivor, show car or restored but I can't find any rust worth talking about. No accidents.
Drove 2200 miles round trip with a trailer to get it.
My son is going to help me upload pics in the next few days. What a great car.

Are you in a part of the country where you can drive it before the snow sets in. I now I got mine in the beginning of october 5 years ago and luckily enough we never got snow until december so I got to drive it alot that first year before winter storage. Found a lot of issues while driving it to so I got a chance to fix them that winter as well
Love your comment, "The car and I are a match. Old and in need of some repair....". Pretty funny. Pretty accurate in my case too.
Welcome to CF from the great state of NC. We love pictures once you figure that part out.
Fair warning, the Corvette bug can consume vast amounts of your time and your money...it's also highly contagious and lots of us here on Corvette Forum have it. So, pace yourself. Fixing up old Corvettes is a marathon, not a sprint.
Welcome from one 1971 Nevada Silver Coupe to a similar convertible! Parts are easy to find on this site, as well as very knowledgeable souls to guide you through any process!
Hello rapewta, and welcome to the CF! Lots of great people on here who are very willing to help. As you may have noticed, you NEED to include some pics of your new C3. We like pics. And it doesn't matter if it's modded, dirty, or whatever - we're all here to help each other and enjoy the hobby together. I think C3's, of any year, are gorgeous cars!!
