Default Request for Data Assistance Please

This is kind of a specific request to those of you that can help. As a visual learner myself I have found pictures to be an invaluable way of documenting information. I have touched a lot of C-3's over the past 15 years now but I have not touched all of the C-3's and my picture library, while extensive, is missing some key photos that would be helpful in my frame documentation data. If you can help I would be much appreciated and if the picture is used here on the CF for documentation then I will give credit if you want it, be glad to do so.

I am working on a document to show the changes necessary when using frames from other years to cars needing a frame in good shape. I am putting it together now and editing it to fix some errors so now would be a good time to add pictures showing the changes. I am missing some pictures for illustration purposes.

Most of these pictures will be specific to a year, a style, and a location.

Here is what I am missing.

1973
1) Picture of the rear most cross member showing changes from the 1972 style to 1973.

1974
1) Picture of the rear most cross member showing changes from the 1973.
2) Picture of the side impact mounting on a 1974 frame; both plate and brackets.

1976
1) Picture of an automatic transmission cross member showing only one opening versus earlier years having two for exhaust pipes.
2) Picture of a manual transmission frame cross member showing only one opening versus earlier years having two for exhaust pipes.

1978
1) Gas tank support cross member picture.

1980
1) Clutch rod frame bracket bolted onto frame.
2) Transmission cross member picture.

1981
1) Transmission cross member picture.
2) Any changes from the 1980 frame?

1982
1) Transmission cross member.
2) Any changes from the 1980 or 81 frame?

There may be a few more areas but those will help me a bunch. If you have one you can either post it here or send to my home e-mail which is easy to remember; AllVettes4Me@gmail.com.

Thank you for your help and best regards,

David Howard

Not sure if these are the quality you're looking for, but they are from my 78

David -

I just finished up converting a '74 frame for use with my '72 and have emailed the requested photos to you.

Glad to help

Mike

I don't have a pic, but the '76 crossmember has two holes for the exhaust.
It used only the right side hole because of the single cat & front & rear Y-pipes.
I have a CC true dual system on mine now using the original crossmember....

I have a red 77 manual, and once had a black 77 auto. Both cars have 2 exhaust pipe holes in the trans crossmember. The Auto car is bolt out. My manual car is welded. But I put 74 style exhaust on it years ago. I suppose I could take a photo. But I'm certain it's no different from a 74 model year car.
