Default Windjammer wind deflector

I know it’s the wrong time of the year to talk about driving with the T-tops off. Last summer I hemmed and hawed about spending $240 on a wind deflector; piece of acrylic with two bolts for the T-top holes. It was worth it; so many fewer complaints from my passenger about open air driving! Reason for posting is I noticed Carid.com sells them for $140. At that price don’t think twice about it.

I had one on my 81.... cut down on noise and buffeting quite a bit!

Sorry to see that...they ran out quick. Looks like something for springtime after all.

Just turn your sun visors up so they stick out a bit above the upper windshield rail and they will do the same thing......for $0.

Thanks for the tip! That's certainly cheaper than finding a new passenger. Ballcap, ponytail, and visor flip are usually sufficient, though.

I haven't had a ponytail since the early 90's.

I bought a pack of “scrunchies” and stuck them in the map pocket. Told her to push visor up all the way. Problem solved.

I have one, too - it has magically made it "our car" for my wife instead of "his car"; and, it extends the season by a couple of weeks in each (Spring/Fall) direction. Until recently (retired) I was a marketing manager for an OEM and recall an eye-opening research paper that carefully monitored shopping habits of women...and, which therefore directly drives the shopping habits of their men. Bottom line, most women would prefer, by far, to visit a Dealership's outdoor vehicle lot during a moderate, steady rain shower than on a windy day. They prefer an umbrella over hair-messing wind the vast majority of the time. Men rated it the opposite, culturally not having invested the daily time/expense in their hair. And, providing a hat to a woman adverse to wind ranges from an appreciated but last resort to risking insult. I have observed how much more relaxed my wife is when I’ve put on the Windjammer for her. Side benefits include the tinted clear sunblock it gives on the crest of the windshield, and it must deflect some of the sound from the front speakers or just quiet the wind enough to hear/enjoy your music a little more.
Happy wife, happy... cruise.

Also, in a separate and unrelated study that we didn't commission but provided to our Dealer's Service Managers... did you know that women rate "grease on a car seat or their apparel worse than "snakes"? They hate snakes too, but not as much as they dread grease in a public and professional automotive environment. This is why we recommended that our Dealer's Service Advisors install those disposable seat covers (and, paper floormats and steering wheel covers when you visit their service dept. (and, hopefully removed before you see them) - thought I'd share this since most of us are avid DIYers and grease is a reality in our hobby. Just keep in mind that it's likely that your lady really & truly hates the thought of coming in direct contact with it in her car or on her own clothes. She’ll (statistically) actually take an encounter with snakes over grease.
