Those wires are from my aux fan, don't have them plugged in now. When I get my new switch installed will get them back under the fender. The blue wire I assume is ground for it.

Interpon, here is my other project in the works...36 Ford 5 window coupe with V8 Flathead power! My father bought the car in 1976 and I got it ten years ago, the motor is sweet and sounds crazy good. If I can get the vette to sound as good

will be happy! lol. My garage is a mess now but thanks!

Dear Tom and Interpon...

I'm one of those neat and tidy guys. So I appreciate the work, and what it takes.

I take my car (the CE) to a lot of car shows...even tho it is the epitome of long nose sharks, my hood is always open...becuase you could perform surgery in my engine compt.
My little joke with my self at the shows, is looking at 30% of the cars with the hood closed and PURPOSELY asking id I can see the engine.....

Hood closed= disaster area
Hood open.....neat as a pin and much work involved.

Separates the men from the boys!

Looks Great guys!

L46-man, Looks great, a clean car is a happy car! Just put my cold case radiator cap on today, it adds a more finished look that I like. Still have a few more details that I want to get to but my car is a survivor so don't think I will go to crazy.

okay Tom...the dang trouble with Hi-res pix is I see THINGS! lol.

Fold the upper 'A' arm splash flaps UNDER the 'A' arm so you can see the top of the shock. This is what those 'T' slits are for.

When you DON'T fold them under, they can flip up at speed and get caught in the fan belt.

Out came the radiator and shroud then back in again. Got some new foam for both sides in between radiator and support too. My car is A/C equipped. Replaced drain plug with a new brass unit so can use a 1/2" wrench to remove. Done for today, tomorrow its hook up transmission cooler lines and lower hose...then fill her up. That is unless I forgot something?

Do you remember what size plug you used to replace the petcock? I installed a Cold-Case radiator in my '79 today and the petcock is really close to the mount.

Sorry don't remember, took the petcock to ACE hardware and got the brass plug to match. I did use my dremel tool and notched lower rad support a bit, just enough to get my socket on it.

My **** just cleared the frame. Not like it gets opened often so yeah, a brass plug will work just fine.

You may want to seal off the gap between the top of the radiator and the radiator support. Big air loss if not sealed.

I don't agree. Why? Because later vettes had the cai fitted on top of the rad. So lots of air flowing up that way. I now run an open air filter and the gap where the CAI was is now just open to let air flow over the rad into the engine compartment.

I guess I'm be'in silly,, but I would rather the little available air went through the radiator, but that's just me.

Here is mine after all finished, It was suggested to me to bring cool air in the way GM intended to do so mine is stock now. My little 190hp motor does not make much heat though, maybe someday! lol..
