Back in the day, Corvette Black Book was the ultimate pricing guide for older vettes. I can't seem to find an updated version. Where is the best place to find Corvette pricing? in particular I am looking to by a project C5 or C6 car to restomod to a C3, need help figuring out how much to pay for the donner C5-6.
Real-world prices are set by wholesale auctions (not Barrett-Jackson). Try looking through sold eBay auctions (requires an account), and check Copart.com for your donor chassis.

For the record, The Black Book has never been a pricing guide.
It lists dealer options on each year and other interesting tidbits, but it is not and has never been a price guide.

I found my old Corvette Black Book, you are.absolutely right! I must of had it confused with the weekly subscription Black Book my dad got when he had the car lot. Things get a bit more confused as time goes by!
I've been checking 'bring a trailer' lately just for fun. Some interesting history and current info there. But, as always, it's sometimes hard to know what the car was really like - but it's still another reference point.............
I checked Hagerty value tools using #4 condition for my '71 LS5. It shows a value of $30,250 with the hard top, AC, PS, and T&T steering wheel.

I've been monitoring BAT C3 auctions for a while, seen some overpriced, some good deals, and some in between. Always interesting to read the comments and see what people are willing to pay.

I had a broker — has a small shop here in Ohio, said
he’s traded over 1,000 classic vettes— come to look at my car, said correct 3+ 68 427 L36 was in the range of $35k -$40k, a 4 $15-25k, and a 1 could go for $70-$80k. Bob was extremely knowledgeable, nice guy, seemed like a straight shooter. When in doubt, get an expert!

FYI...back in the day, the same guy (Mike Antonick) did publish a "Corvette Price Handbook". No longer however.
