73 Big Block is currently in for strip and repaint. Have had Keystone Classics on the car since about 1980. Time to put on new custom wheels. I know that 15 x 8 American Racing Torque Thrust II would fit. Anyone have any luck with other wheels? I believe stock 15 x 8 Corvette Wheels were 3.5" Backspace. Foose makes a 2-pc Forged Fury - F464 Concave that resembles an old Halibrand Style. They are custom made to the required backspace,. They look beautiful, but are pricy. Looking for ideas.
YJ8s were Zora's choice, and look great on 73s. They weren't widely available until 76 or so due to porosity issues, but you can pick them up on Craigslist, or new repros. And they fit.
I really like the hillebrandt style wheels but don’t see too many C3s with them. Mostly Cobras. I have thought about those myself. I’m looking at new wheel options myself but will probably stick with the Weld draglites even if they are kind of associated with Mustangs due to all the Fox body’s with them. Since I’m sticking with 15s I’ll be curious what you get. My car is a 70s era street machine theme for street strip.
I am going with a 28” tall street slick in back. The 295 50 BFGs are too short imo.

I'm still looking at options. Car won't be out of the repaint process till April 2021, so I have a lot of time to look at ideas. Have had Keystone Classics on it since the early 80's. They do rub a little in the front when turning tight, so I have a lot of measuring to do. Time for something new. Not looking to be "Period Correct". Never thought about more options with larger diameter wheels, but that is definitely something I must consider. Always like the Halibrand Style wheels. I have a 1929 Ford Roadster Street Rod with Cruiser Wheels (which is a Halibrand style copy). Don't believe these are made anymore. The Foose Wheels offer many sizes, and since they are made to order, they made the backspace to order. Other than being pricy, they are a beautiful wheel. The knock-off style would be different looking. Torque Thrust II is a much less expensive option, which we know will fit. I will keep doing my research. I thank everyone for their ideas - MERRY CHRISTMAS!
