Then that must have made the Z28 that I saw pretty rare. It was also a no console, no gauge car, so no tach either.
No Tach required for 67 or 68 Z/28.
My October 68 built '69 Z/28 had no tach or guages console or even spoilers. Tach became a requirement in May/June of '69. You could get a Tach without the gauge package in later '69 with U-16 Tach / center mounted fuel guage option. The special fuel guage would mount where the clock would normally be mounted in the center of the dash. U-16 is very rare at only 1410 cars total.
