did you put in a quartz clock convertion?? could the second hand just be loose on the shaft? are the hour and minute hands working?
if none of the hands are turning, perhaps you need a new quartz clock convertion.

worth it in the long run. Very affordable, I put in the quartz clock convertion back in the mid 90's. clock still keeps perfect time. You can get them from all the Corvette vendors.
