Default C3 Door Sill Height?

I don't have access to my project or my manuals/books at the moment, but am still trying to draw up dimensional plans for a body dolly that will clear over the frame on it's own dolly. I thought I had all the figures I needed with me, but now realize that in order for it to clear the frame after it's back to rolling on its own wheels, I need the distance from the ground to the top of the door sill opening. Car in question is a '71 coupe, 350, with the standard suspension and 15" wheels...

Thanks for any help you all can provide,

Paul

I believe you also want some idea of the stance of the car in question as the suspension can and does affect the ride height of the body onto the chassis. This ride height can and will impact the dimension from the ground to the upper portion of the door sill. Ask 20 guys for this dimension and you will get 20 dimensions I suspect so will an approximate dimension or range of dimensions work for what you want to accomplish?

Just asking so guys can feel confident they are giving you what you need.

My convertible is a 74 (different body mounts) and it is riding high at the moment with a needed change to the springs, so mine would give you a much larger number I think. Glad to share it if you think it will help you at all.

Thanks David. Yes, I’ll use the measurement as an approximation for the leg lengths of my new dolly so it’ll clear the frame when it’s on my frame dolly or when the frame is rolling on its own wheels. I will allow extra room to ensure clearance knowing that every ride height is different due to variances in engine size, wheel size and suspension type/condition...
