Default Headlight Assembly

I have my 76 at the body shop being painted. Currently the bumpers and headlights are off of the car. Can anyone tell me if the headlights are easier to put back on prior to installing the front bumper or is it just as easy with the front bumper on? Thanks in advance for the help.

I'd put the bumper on first, you've got better access without the headlamps in place. On my 78 the bumper cover being in place doesn't affect access to the headlamps, I'd imagine a 76 is the same. You'll need to be careful getting the headlamps in and adjusted it's easy to chip the paint!
