Looking at a 68 corvette that does not have the build sheet available....Is there some where that i could send the vin number and find out the build of the original car? Just would like to know what the car originally started out to be when it was manufactured..thank you appreciate any help...Ron
No. Records for the earlier cars do not exist. GM Archive has invoice records for 77-81 cars, but nothing earlier. The NCM has build records for Bowling Green cars.

Ron, what information are you looking to verify? Lost build sheets are pretty common. Most, even if still there, are just remnants by now.
There are other ways to verify major components such as the engine, trans, build date, color, and a few others.
If you join the NCRS, they have a service that will likely be able to give you the original dealer information.
What do you want to verify? This board is full of people willing to help. I have owned my 1968 since 1985. I am no expert but can lend a hand. Take care.
