On my1981, all the hoses are original. While they aren't any visible issues, they are 42 years old and I've been seeing some signs of a vacuum leak.
Lights come up slow.
One light comes up, then the other.
I've just noticed over the past month that the lights just come up then come done without me doing anything.
Got a few pop's a backfires and stumbles when I stomp on the gas.
I can start searching for the leak by the normal process of using a bottle of soappy water and starting fluid but with the age and the time does it just make sense to buy a bunch of hose and start replacing all the vacuum lines or am I going overboard?
I have a 77. When I see any signs of a vacuum leak I will buy the complete set from one of the vendors and replace all of them. When 1 starts leaking the others cannot be far behind.
