Default I did a thing today.......

I jumped in with both feet today. Bought this 1980 L42. 42,194 Miles. Was repainted and gone through in 2011. About 5,000 miles since then. Stored in climate controlled building sine they got it in 2011. Everything in interior is new. Said put about $34k into it. Got for $14. Probably top end of price but it’s a nice car

From what I can see - assuming no hidden issues - you got a KILLER deal and definitely not the top end of the price range for that car. Congrats and great looking C3!!

Very nice! It's nearly the exact opposite of my 80, except for the color, and the front license plate.

Looks to be worth every penny. No go drive the hell out of it!

Good looking, clean and well cared for '80. As long as there is negligible rust on the frame/birdcage, should be a great car and lots of enjoyment ahead.

Beautiful. Makes me want to go get another one! I fully agree that your purchase price is certainly not unreasonable.
We always take some risk in buying an older car, hey, unless the seller gave you a warranty.
Don’t be bothered if you discover some issues. That beauty is yours now - married for life, in sickness and in health!

Congratulations.

PS - get a Date Code on the tires, including the spare, and let us know how old they are.
