I own a 2004 black convertible but I like C3s too. I would like to get one someday but I have custody of my three grandchildren (10, 5, and 3 years old) so I don't have a lot of spare time or money. This car looks really good. It was for sale in Georgia at this dealer: https://marksbrothersvette.net/vdp/1...uford-GA-30518
It sold for $15,950. Seems like a good car for an OK price. Can't tell much about any possible rust from the pictures.
Welcome to the C3 forum.
The 82 was a one year only cross fire injection engine, every C3 before it used a carburetor.
So unless you want to become an expert on CFI finding a mechanic to work on it may be difficult.
Thanks MelWff. I like the 1968 and then 1982 models. I like the 1968 best. I remember seeing them for the first time when I was 15. I have looked at some older threads by Buccaneer on the crossfire fuel injection. You are right about needing to be knowledgeable about the crossfire to keep it running right.
I'm not a 77 and above C3 kind of guy but I would own an original clean 82, just because I think the cross fire is cool. There is a CF member here who has a super clean 82 that I went wow when I saw the pictures.
Everything underneath is painted flat black. That is cause for concern, already. No one goes to the trouble of painting the underside of a car unless they are trying to hide something.
