Default 1973 Original C3 Corvette

Hello everyone,
I have had the luck in acquiring a 1973 C3 with 63K original miles on it. The previous owner caped off the EGR value and tied up the TCS switch. I know how to put everything back except for one detail. Does anyone know where exactly the TCS bolts on? Is it one of the orange painted engine bolts? If so, can I just unscrew it without harm? Appreciated.

It just bolts on the intake using the second bolt back. See photo.

Curious about the brown (tan) anti dieseling wire? You have it running across the front of the engine. Where is it going? Originally it should be running back along the left side valve cover. It's actually clipped on to the valve cover using unique black plastic clips that snap into special metal brackets that clip into the aluminum valve cover fins on the 73-74 L82 Covers. See second photo.

Thanks...do you mean the orange painted bolt in the center of this photo? If I unscrew it will it leak oil? Please forgive the novice questions. Thanks

Yep, that's the bolt. It's the intake so you won't have any oil leak.

Thanks so much. I took the original valve covers off because they were leaky and the new ones do not have those black plastic clips. I see your gray clips attached to your valve covers for the idle stop wire. I have to find those. Where did you find them?

That picture showing the clips isn't from my car. It's from an original L82. The top photo is from my 73. I have an L48 so it originally has the orange steel valve covers. But just to dress the engine up from time to time I have a set of GM aluiminum covers. The black plastic clips (not reproduced)were used on both the L48 and L82 cars. As for they metal L82 valve cover clip on brackets those are not easy to find. ( next to impossible) They aren't reproduced either. Very pricey $$$ if you do find them.

PS.. you can find the same plastic clips used on your cowl induction air door hood solenoid wiring harness running up the edge of the hood.

I bought four of these from "In-line Tube". Work great for the wiring on both sides.
