Default Door panel Inserts

Hello. I have a question regarding the interior door panel on my 69. The question is about the Comfortweave insert. The insert in the panel that is in the car now is in good shape except that it is out of shape on the bottom right corner. By out of shape I mean that it has raised up and not laying flat like the rest of the insert. It looks like it would benefit from another retainer at that spot although I don't think there is anything except the vinyl at that point of the insert, no real structure to the insert. I'm quite sure the fit isn't correct, just wondered if this just happens over time and my question is if there is any way to correct, such as heat and reshaping? Prefer not to buy a new one just to find that it is basically the same fitment. Thanks and take care.

I would remove the whole door panel and investigate to see if there was a simple way to 'tighten up' the insert fit. Otherwise, you might take the whole panel to an interior shop and tell them what you want done. Make it very clear to them that the [original] ComfortWeave material is NOT available, so they need to save that, for sure.

how easily can you press it back to where you think it should be?
Would a dab of silicone adhesive underneath hold it back in place (and later still let it be removed if it needed to be?
