Hello,
I'm assembling the front end of my car, and when looking at the outer grille I realize that there are nowhere to attach the outer screws.
I did remove this from the car some time ago, but as I recall it the grille was just attached with the lamp on the outside.
Am I missing something, do I have the wrong bracket on the inside, or what is wrong in this picture??
I'm trying to look at the AIM (very poor picture), and i looks maybe like the outer steel bracket should be another one, that includes screw holes above and below the lamp?
Car is a 69 convertible.

The grille parts you have circled in red are not used. The parking lamp/ turn signal assembly is attached to the bracket via three speed nuts on the rear of the lamp housing. When I put my grille together I put on the chrome trim first as it made it easier to access the studs for the speed nuts.
Ok thanks, that explains it.
It does look like there are screws in the other two holes if you check the AIM though, could it be that there was different versions of the inner bracket?
There are two sets of 69 grille brackets the EARLY 68 style and the later 69 style . I installed a new lower valence and painted a LATE 69 last year and the customer sent 2 sets of brackets for the grilles TOOK me a little bit to figure out why there were redundant mounting tabs then realized I had WAY too many brackets.
