Default Probably a stupid question

Does a 1975 coupe 350/330 have a oil pressure switch or an oil pressure sensor or both> What i have on the top of engine is a switch, gauge is good but on start up, goes all the way up.. I replaced it what was on the car when I bought it and it looks more like a switch in the pictures I have seen. The sensor looks different. Gauge was doing the same thing when I bought it, that it why I replaced it with was there.. I am thinking that it should be a sensor.. Is there a difference and are they both on car? what I changed is right behind the distributor cap.. Thanks in advance.

As you are probably aware 75 only had 2 350 offering both under 200hp so if you have built or different engine you may have some other connections. A stock 75 has an oil sending switch on a 1/4 nipple down by the oil filter

I would just call it the oil pressure sensor or sender because it doesn't switch anything.
