Reverse light switch.
Swapped a 4 speed into my 72. Originally had an auto. Installing the reverse light switch. I was wondering how long are those little clips going to stay in place on the rod. Is there anything I can do to keep them in place. I thought maybe a dab of silicone adhesive to keep the from falling off. When I ordered the kit I also ordered about 10 extra clips. Knowing that 8 of them would get lost during installation.

well, my 4 speed is nearly 45 years old. and those little clips have never fallen off. my back up lights still work. However, a dab of silicone would certainly add some insurance and won't hurt anything.
Is my vette stock?? HAHA

mine never fell off... you should be okay, especially since you have extras, now you wont need them. Everytime I buy an extra of something its years before i need it, if at all
