Got my new Proform high torque installed. Haven’t cranked yet but does anyone know what I do with the third wire their is no terminal for in the new starter? The way I understand it is if you have a MSD ignition you don’t need that wire??

you need the wire if your 70 still has points. tape it off.

Your mini starter has no provision for the 'R' wire.
So, as said, just tape it off or go to the coil and remove the yellow wire.

Thanks. Worked just fine. Thought I’d get a fast start up but still takes several turns before it starts
