Carpet replacement

Hope someone can help me. Bought replacement carpet for my 77 and the piece that goes from the glove boxes across the deck and up the back wall is about 3 inches short. Company that makes carpet says I am missing something at top of back wall, my old carpet went to the top of back wall with no molding. Can anyone give advice , maybe the roll ran short on my piece. I get no help from company.

company is telling me that I am missing a piece ( molding ) maybe but they couldn’t tell me what the piece is. I don’t see a place for anything.

I removed the stock carpet on my 74 and there was no such trim on mine.. The carpet was taller.

I have a 77 and there is no trim at the top of the back wall. vendor sent you the wrong carpet would be my guess.

Send them the measurements of the old piece and new piece. Ask them to switch out that one piece of carpet. Agree, sounds like you got the wrong one.
