Any idea on what engine code this is for?

F07 is most likely January 7th. RC is a 62 250 hp corvette 327. at least that is what i found in a 1 minute search.

According to NastyZ28.com, it’s a 250 hp 327 from a 62 Corvette.

Is that F0716RC. I know the 4th digit looks like an i but I think it's a 1. I couldn't find that code either. Not a 68 corvette engine code.

did they stamp vin number differently then? no 2s or 3s that i am used to for year and assy plant at beginning of vin derivitave.

Yes they did begin with the year indication back then. Since it begins with a 3, and is an RC code,it is from a base-motor, standard transmission 1963 Corvette. Specifically the 21,423rd Corvette in 1963. Motor was assembled July 16.
