Default Glove compt light and switch wires

So, I know where these wires go and come from for this light, but where can I physically get my hands on them, where do they live. The wire coming from the back, does it run behind the seats, under the carpet, just in front of the compartments, from the left side? Thanks.... '72 coupe

On my 71 convertible, I would assume it’s the same, the two wires exit the wiring harness at the rear of the drivers door at about the level of the drivers door latch. The wires run across the bulkhead on the seat side (in front of the bulkhead) to a hole just behind the left side of the passenger seat. The hole should have a rubber grommet in it. The wires end up right in the proximity of the centre compartment..hope this helps

Thanks, mine are also; my question is, what route did they take getting there.

I think post #2 & 3 answered your question so I am not sure what further to add. As a side note, I disconnected that light at the pigtail connector located in the jack compartment (pull the jack tray out to locate the connector). The reason for doing so was to prevent a dead battery in the event the glove compartment door was not latched properly. The glove box light is marginal at best anyway.
