Default Looking for connector...

Unable to find new connectors. Wilcox is out of stock used. If you know of a source or have a couple of serviceable used connectors I'm interested in purchasing two. Found bubba wiring at one switch and a broken wire at the other.

Thanks,

Tom,

I've got two you can have. I cut them off my old harness when I replaced it last fall. One socket has 10" of wiring, the other has 17". PM me your address and I'll send them to you.

Larry,

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I sent you a PM. Hard to ask for something on the forum without doing a little research first. Spent two hours searching online and of course by the time I decided to place some calls to part suppliers just in case I missed something, they were closed.

The Head Lamp Warning Light was working last week so I assumed the failure was the bulb. I pulled the instrument cluster, changed the bulb, cleaned the socket, and checked ground. That didn't fix it. Went to the head lamp switches up front and that's where I found the problem, One switch had a broken wire at the socket base, the other switch had been disconnected and missing the socket connector. I temporarily wired one switch and the Head Lamp Warning Light worked. I guess I had been driving around with only one switch connected until the wire broke!

Thanks again for the rescue!

Personally I would just use insulated female spades and then slide a piece of 1/2 or so heatshrink over them so it seals against the switch

The thought did cross my mind but spending a little extra time to find the right part was worth the effort.

Larry,

Thanks again...you are faster than Amazon. In case we ever meet, what is your favorite beer! We live part-time in SC and our son is at the Pentagon, so at times we are close to your neighborhood!

Hahaha!! Any lager or pilsner; no IPA or stout.

Our younger son lives in Arlington; sees the Pentagon frequently.
