Graphite Grease Substitute
I’m trying to do some work on my clutch cross shaft and replace a ball stud, and according to the service manual for my 1978 I’m supposed to use graphite grease to lube the ball stud and the cross shaft. However, I can’t find any graphite grease anywhere, so I’m wondering if there’s any substitutes that I can use? Given that the placement of the ball stud is on the engine block I imagine it needs to be a high heat grease but other than that I’m not sure. I’ve been looking at Lucas Oil X-tra heavy duty grease, but I’m curious about other options or a place where I can get graphite grease.
