Default RVZIO69 Restore

Was a long time member of the general group years ago and just wanted to stop by and see how many of the friends I had are doing and how their projects are doing and seeing how many of you finished. Working on my 69 and many other years it was a blast posting pictures and telling my story. Sometimes in life stuff happens to change things up. Anyway , still here working on corvettes and living the dream. Hope all the people I met through this great forum are still getting it done .
Later!

I finally got mine done.... for the most part. And I made it by my target retirement date!
Still working out a few wrinkles, and "breaking it in", but I`m pretty happy with how it`s turning out!

Hey RVZIO, nice to see you checking in! I remember your help - always making lots of good comments that help a lot of forum members. I'm in the middle of doing the complete underside of our '68 L71 roadster. Started in Jan, thought I'd have it done in May; then June; then July; now shooting for the end of August. Too many additional summer things to do, time with family, etc. But that's okay. Hope you are well! Best, Paul

Hello RVZIO! Nice to hear from you. Still working on my project on a daily basis. Eight years and counting: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c3-general/3347168-three-two-one-lift-off.html

Howdy RVZIO!
Great to hear from you as well.
Loved you 69 build posts as I was doing one about the same time

I had a 69 white coupe and 71 yellow big block I was working on.
Then I found a basket case 63 Split Window Coupe and sold the 69 white SWC and
the 71 yellow big block and all the parts I had to buy the 63.
Talk about clearing the deck LOL.

Spent the last two years doing a body off on the 63 and it is nearing being drivable.

However I just picked up a cheap 69 coupe that had been sitting in a back yard
I am trying to decide if it is a parts car or a future project

All the best
Glenn in San Diego

Wow, I do remember your build and the fact that half the times we chatted on the forum I called you RBird. Very nice work as you displayed a lot of patience and talent. I'll take a look at how far you are. Nice to hear from you.

Thank you for the kind words. It was a great time doing the work, pictures and posting. There were many with a common goal of getting our cars back on the road. Pictures of the rear look great. Clean and neat!
Nice to hear from you.

Good to see you're still at it- many have come and gone- as you said life gets in the way!

Still messing with mine- almost on the road- been around the neighborhood a few times under it's own power.

Fix a frustrating oil leak and finish the interior-

Wow Richard, looks great man. You still selling the headlight motors for C3"s? Great to hear from many of the folks that followed my 69 build.

Tony, hang in their man. Curious on how the car looks now. Looked at the post. Great job on the rear portion.

Rvzio - Thanks for checking in again and letting us know you're alive and well! I just retired last month and am slowly getting my garage space back after a 3-month house remodel. Hopefully I'll be back working on putting my '71 back together next week...
