I’m trying to replace the roller that’s on my window, however, I cannot figure out how to get it off. I saw something online saying on the back there should be a nut and a place for a flathead, but I just have the flathead part and when I tried to unscrew it, the slot broke. Do I need to cut or drill it out or is there an easier way without risking breaking the glass?
I'm trying to remember, but I think you can just grab onto the washer with a pr or channel lock pliers and unscrew it. Maybe apply some masking tape around so you don't scratch the glass. They're not that tight. Do you have a picture of the other side?
Hey, ..side note: don't forget to inspect that round plastic piece just outside your picture, ...for wear. A lot of times they become flat-spotted and can affect your window alignment if it's flat-spotted a lot. I bought some exact replacements off ebay. Then apply some white grease to the door area where it 'rubs' when you put the glass back in.
