Default How did this happen?

I've been on this forum for fifteen years. When I came up with the name "Old Man In a C" I thought I was being clever. Fast forward fifteen years and I realize that I am one... 75 last week.
I don't spend a day without enjoying this forum. Thanks to all.

Ahhh- life is like a roll of toilet paper-

The closer you get to the end- the faster it rolls-
And that last little bit tries it's damnedest to hang to the roll!!!

Happy Belated birthday, Old Man. Remember it's just a number and means nothing. It's how old you are in your mind that counts. That's easy to say, I know. Especially when I try to crawl out of bed in the morning.

I turned 64 yesterday.
When I look at this pic from '78 & then look in the mirror I ask "how did this happen"...

They say you`re only as old as you feel. But if that were true, I would`ve died of old age two years ago! I`ll be 66 in a couple weeks....
but nearly 4 years of chemo drugs has beat the **** out of me. But my wife, kids, & hobbies have kept me busy enough not to notice!

I'm glad you seniors are doing well, age is a relative thing. My dad's 75th is coming up in October. Unfortunately he is at home doing hospice, don't know if he'll make it till then.

Just turned 70 last month. My health is good and my build project keeps me mentally alert. I do something on it every day. The Corvette and this forum help a lot.

I turned 74 in April and it looks like I have lots of good company! When I turned 65 and got real medical care (medicaid), I found out that I had two bonuses from my year in Vietnam...two cancers! I am still kicking! Lou.

Blasting off and rowing thru the gears makes me feel 19 again. If we can still have fun with our Vettes then we are winning big time!

About 3 years ago we cleaned out the garage and i found my old Army uniform, I tried it on, I asked my wife, How did this happen, This is not right!
Some 52 years ago i weighed 140 & was OK.
Some 52 plus years later the VA says, hey Dave you have an August 30th appointment for your 6 month checkup, and vocal cord cancer checkup from A/O on the 31st.
As the years go by they accelerate at a much faster rate than normal.
