The guys from Roadkill drove a pos 75 to the Corvette Museum. While looking at the sinkhole they asked the guy in charge there if they could drive their VETTE into the hole!!! Got their priorities right!!! Classic moment on Motortrend

That was a great episode. Didn’t they get pulled over as soon as they rolled out of the garage for a test drive? They had no windshield! Friggin hilarious! Those series of shows, any with the Roadkill staff, are the best car shows out there.

Yeah, the sinkhole and this episode was nearly a decade ago. Suckered by summer re-runs of the re-run of the re-run.

Yep. Part of the problem is that television programming providers have started lying about the status of programs. They are using their on screen programming guide to label programs as "new" when in fact they are re-runs. They even manipulate the episode numbers so if you track those, you still can't tell a program is old. Dish TV is notorious for doing this. Lack of new programming due to Covid accelerated this dumb trend. Yes Dish, I'm calling you out!

In fairness to Dish, the majority of channels where this is a problem are owned by Discovery. That doesn't let Dish off the hook as it's still their programming guide but Discovery is definitely part of the problem.

A couple years back the hotrod garage guys decided to make a big block chrome bumper conversion......that was a fun show as well. Same shop and crew, different stars. But they all work together under motortrend and Hotrod. I watch those shows more than any show on network TV

The motor trend shows arent scripted. Epecially when they put a rod through a friends boat motor. Or blow up a rearend or transmission. Or dont come close to finishing a project for the show.......My favorite line is.." If we dont get this done, WE'RE gonna lose the shop!!!" Referring to the scripted car and motorcyle shows

That one was good one. The Motortrend/Hot Rod cast is excellent. Engine Masters is also an excellent show. They get into some depth about tuning and the differences between equipment you might use on the track and on the street.

I agree most all of the shows are crap, made up BS. I can’t watch shows like Bitchin rides. They just suck.

The MT/HR shows are most likely not scripted. They actually show interesting hot rodding. They also tell and show you what NOT to do. And then they just beat up there cars which is just great. These guys have been magazine writers for years. They are real car guys. Then they revisit cars they built years ago and change them around.

Having the $5/month Motortrend subscription totally pays for itself just in the ability to watch Top Gear. But I agree, the stuff like Engine Masters, Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, etc are dynamite.
