Default Does anybody recognise my '69 C3 ?!

Hey all.
New member here. I am based in the UK. I purchased my 1969 427 Corvette in Dec 2020. It came over from Michigan in 2015.
I managed to use the title to trace back to the most previous owner, who says he purchased it from a bank who were holding it as collateral against a loan, and so the trail goes cold. I did manage to find another previous owner via a VIN search on the registry, but it gives me only an e-bay username. It does at least show the car was in these colours as far back as 2001. The factory colour of the car is burgundy.

The car currently runs brilliantly and gets a huge amount of attention here in the UK.

I'm hoping somebody may recognise this quite unique C3 and shed some light on its life, good or bad!

Cheers,
HJG.

The Registry admins I believe enter some of the info that they found, for example on sale on eBay, into the registry.

The info is good but as far as finding the previous owner it often times is a dead end.

I had the same issue. Ike

Man, I really like the black wheels with the turbine center caps! That's a badass look!

Favor to ask, can you take some pictures above and around the HVAC blower motor? I'm trying to see how fresh air gets INTO the airbox from the wiper trough.

The answer is SomeWHERe right near where you have that prop rod resting! Thanks!

I just R&R'd that blower fan from the bottom, Oh, what I wouldn't give to have a tilt-forward hood like yours! LOL

Thanks guys.
@wadenelson I will take some photos next time I am with the car.

Does anybody know the firms who offer these tilting hoods? I've seen a few but not many. There is no info with the car about where or when this was done, but it was done well.
Also, I found the order form behind the dash. Are these rare to find? That hard top is long gone! Maybe in somebody's garage in the Midwest

Thats a nice find. However, it’s more valuable for the original crowd. And your car was originally equipped with some great options, especially the side exhaust.
