I used it on my 72, it did some sound dampening but I'd say better as a moisture barrier. When you closed the door it still resonated but not as much as without anything.
When I re-did the interior I covered the door in the dynamat type product and it did a much better job of deadening the sound to more of a modern "clunk"
I have no idea if either make any different in sound otherwise since the windows are almost always down, tops off and rear window out so....
I Got it a few months ago but haven't installed. I figured I would need it as I car is a shell with no interior and I'm putting the parts together but look at more like moisture barrier. If it does some sound deadening then that's a plus. I used butyl kilamat from amazon on the while floor but didn't bother with the doors. I did the sound deadening more for heat than sound.. my car has dual 3" exhaust so sound is what I'm after!
Those look fine and the price is reasonable. If you still have 'fiber' backed door panels, you might want to glue a layer of visqueen (plastic sheeting) on the outside face to keep any water (or moist air) from reaching the door panels.
