Default Time to say goodbye

I've sold my 77 C3 and bought a 03 50th anniversary edition C5. I've enjoyed the reading, knowledge and all of the help I've received here. Good luck to all of you with your C3's.

Good luck and have fun! Just remember that a C5 is just a new C4

That's true except for the LS1. I have a granddaughter coming in January and my plan was to keep the C3 for her but I decided to go with something more modern with airbags, antilock brake's, etc.... I truly want a bumper car for myself but maybe later down the road. This on will have a tag that says 4Charli on it until she turns 16.

that's fair... but i hope you start teaching her to drive as soon as she can see over the dash - otherwise, you'll be REAL glad that 16yr old has airbags in the car.

Ya know, I own newer and faster cars. More modern cars. MUCH safer and more reliable cars.

But the C3 is the one that EVERYONE wants to stop and talk to me about. I can't even fuel up without a conversation.

Then there's the guessing game..... what year is that! I point out the grill inserts, door latch buttons, and other "clues!"

The technology is ancient, the repairs are endless, and like a red headed stepchild I love it best.

To me, a C3 is the DEFINITION of Corvette. I fell in love the first time I laid eyes on a C3.

OP, let us know if you find equal satisfaction in owning a C5. At least --- no vacuum wiper door!

And you can always come back. C3 never forgets!

it's alright; he'll now learn the joys of broken plastic headlight gears, electrical gremlins in modules that people could but won't make anymore, and the teens & 20-somethings that can now afford a car like yours & think they're Mario Andretti.
