1972 Dash Harness; over or under?

1972 Dash Harness; over or under?
Routing a new 1972 Dash harness, does it go UNDER the steering column or OVER the steering column (under dash)?
The pic below shows how I have it now,, which is under.

Do you have a copy of the AIM for 1972 model year? The section on "Electrical" has drawings of all wire routings.

yes I do. And if it does, I guess I'm not making sense of it.

It goes over the steering column.

Sometimes the AIM doesnt aim where it should! Route the harness where you have the most slack to reach all the components...try over the column first

I see what you’re talking about. It runs from the fuse block to a clamp on the lower dash pad and then runs over the top of the speedometer and tachometer. My 68 is similar except that it runs below the speedo and tach.
