I hate to admit it but until now I didn’t realize there is a factory storage tray for the rear window in my 72. I don’t have it and I simply laid the window on the top of the ledges that are carpeted behind the seats. Works fine. How was the tray attached in the rear compartment?

I can’t believe how I missed this. I’m not all that knowledgeable about Corvettes and am
learning as I go. Ibe had this car 5 years and I actually have the tray all intact. I just never saw it tucked way up under there. DUH
Vintage corvettes are always full of surprises! I opened the window tray after about a year of ownership and found two bright blue t-top covers still in the wrappers!!
I bought the stuff to convert my '74 to a removable window. The tray, which I paid a premium for, has since been lost. I imagine it would not be too hard for someone handy with fiberglass to make a mold from a broken tray and produce new ones from 'glass.
