It's been 20 years to the day that the World Trade Towers were attacked and destroyed. Hard to believe that much time has passed.
If you are so inclined, say a prayer for those that were lost and for their surviving families....and offer another that this world might live together peacefully....
I was at work, that day, and I still remember how quite the place became, after the attack was announced. I was working in a manufacturing facility, at that time, and nobody knew exactly what was going on, or the extent of the attacks, so after about an hour, they shut the place down, and sent us home. My route home took me past the airport, and it was rather spooky, seeing planes lining up to land, with none taking off.....
Had an eerie experience this morning. Went through the TSA full body scanner in Spokane at the exact second 20 years after the fact. Stepped out and was stopped immediately for a moment of silence and then for a recognition of TSA employees. Eerie and special.

Sad day indeed. Even sadder is how it’s slowly being forgotten. Here’ in Brooklyn we could see the towers burning and collapse in the distance. A sadness you can never forget.
But the reality is that there is a whole 20 year old generation that wasn’t even born yet. To them it is a history lesson at best.
Best we all can do is simply NEVER FORGET!!! It’s that simple. Ike

It's also sad, that there wasn't some MASSIVE "pay back" for this atrocity, too..........
