LT1-BB hood swapped to my 71. Not sure year of hood but the big question is I can't seem to find a latch cable that fits. The old cable was just like this, anyone run into a short hood latch cable problem? Note the "extra" adjustment tab on the driver side.
I see two different cable lengths on the hoods. The 68-69 cable 3947959 was 33" long and was white. The 69-76 cable (2nd design) 3966626 was 31 3/4" long and was black.
Zip carries both of these cables. Don't know if others do.
