Default First Car Wash

Today I gave my new to me '71 Vette its first carwash and a little cruise after. I thought it would be nice to take a little historical video
to document the condition at purchase.

That red sticker in the upper back window is a temporary registration. I am getting hassled by the CA DMV for a double vin verification. They will not accept just the pilar vin or the partial matchiong vin stamp on the engine block so I will need to schedule an appointment with the California Highway Patrol to get the car completely registered. My Frame VIN cannot be seen with the tire on. If someone knows another full VIN location on a "71 I am all ears.

My wife is taking the video. The cardboard flying off the dash is the temporary license plate.

Transmission has a VIN on the passenger side.

states are required to accept the windshield vin. it is the ONLY one. it is legal to replace the engine, trans, rear pumpkin or the frame. if you replace the 3 inch piece of the windshield post that has the vin tag on it, you are supposed to re-title it to the new vin number. nobody does, but... i was talking about the map pocket you put the cell phone in. our weak excuse for a glove box. ain't sturdy. crappy little spring behind it pulling it flat. if you never put anything in it, it won't get stretched out.
