My '79 came back from a shop/mechanic with the vacuum hoses dangling and disconnected from the switch. How in the world can I reconnect them? I'm not a double jointed 3 foot tall midget.
The first step to working under the dash of a C3 is to take the seat out. Lay down with your back on the floor, and then count your blessings as you lay your feet under the bubble window of your exceptionally spacious 78-82 C3.

It is not a fun job, but you can access the switch from the top if you cannot fit your hand up from the bottom.
You will have to remove all (3) pieces of the windshield surround (start at the center)
Then you will have to remove the windshield washer / vent panel (there is a single screw screwed into the top dash pad that has to be removed)
Then take out all 3 screws that screw the driver side dash pad to the upper dash pad
Then take out all 3 screws that screw the passengerdriver dash pad to the upper dash pad
you should now be able to lift up the upper dash pad and reach in to attach the vaccum lines
Hope this helps
