IMO, if those were my only 2 choices, I would go with A.
Back when these cars were new, there was no hydraulic fluid dedicated solely for power steering systems. The P/S systems were factory filled with ATF.

Growing up Dad NEVER had or bought "power steering fluid". Hescoffed at it and said it was a ripoff. ALL we ever used was ATF.
Wish Jim was still around....
(I thought it would have been like mid 70s, I know when they brought it out the went to the "use this, if not available use dextron)
Anyway, I've got a case of the stuff so at least I know what's leaking based on the color off the puddle lol
