Have 67 conv green all stock all original and owned for 25 years. Will keep and give to one of my kids. I have my eyes on one of 2 C3s and looking for advice opinion. I would purchase one of the c3s and again give one to one of my kids
First my favorite c3 is 69 427/400 4sp coupe in riverside gold. I prefer the coupe in C3 (it’s my preference )
car 1 - 69 427/400 4sp conv in red (orig color gold) don’t know if tank sticker is there or not. Can get car and have painted all in for like low 40k (friend of mine and friend of paint guy) . Car is conv not coupe. engine never rebuilt nor body off frame .
car 2 73 L82 350 4sp coupe in green. Beige leather . Car was my brothers . He is getting a C7. Car has fresh paint. Brother owned for 20 years and is 3 owner. Car needs door panels and front bumper (as it disintegrated) . I can get car for 14k and probably need another 3-4K to fix. The engine never been rebuilt or body off frame. It’s a dark green similar to my 67 green.
I only can get 1. My budget is like 40k for a c3. What do you advise or recommend.
I’m biased obviously 🙄....but no-brainer. Tri-Power. Nothing tops opening the hood and seeing Tri-Power.....that’s why they get the big money. Love Riverside Gold too. One year only option.
I'd buy the cheapest, rust-free car with good paint in the body style you want, and then restomod it. You won't feel guilty about driving the wheels off of a car you built yourself.
