Default 68-72 Motion Stinger Hood

Cleaning out the back corner of my shop, think I'd like to offload this hood to someone who can use it.
I don't know if it's an original motion hood or not, but I've had it a long time.
What's a reasonable price to ask for it if I list in in the C3 parts?
I'm not one of those guys who needs or wants to get every dime out of what something is worth- I'd much rather see somebody use it than somebody buy it cheap just to flip it.

Being a 68-72, unfortunately it’s a “short” hood, otherwise I could really use it on my 74.

Anyways, price would depend a great deal on if there’s any damage to repair before repainting it by the prospective new owner.

Id say if it’s in good shape, a good starting point would be around $250-$350 give or take. If you list it, always start a little high. You can always go down in price.

New repop hoods can be had for around $800+ shipping.

Unless someone local buys it shipping will be the cost of the hood.

If you were closer, I would get that for my car! I have an L88 hood, but REALLY want a Motion style hood. There was a member here who claimed to have the original tooling that was used for Motion hoods. He spoke of making a batch of hoods, but I didn't hear any more of it.
Good luck with the sale. But again, I wish you were closer.

BB69-Ohio to New Hampshire is not a horrible drive, it's pretty easily doable in a day each way. Sounds like a road trip to me!

Default For sale: $500

Hi Guys, Thanks for all the info & PM's.
I've decided to sell this hood for $500.
I figure that's what I'd pay for it if I was looking for one.
Local pickup is preferred, of course.

In the event that is 100% not possible, we might be able to figure something else out.

Personally, I'm a road trip kind of guy for stuff I need. No problem!
Last year, I drove my truck from NH to Chicago (straight through both ways, left Friday night, was home Sunday afternoon) to do a deal,
Did the same straight through drive thing a couple months later- NH to MO for another deal.

Heavy or large stuff sometimes requires the extra effort necessary if you want it bad enough!

A little market info: I bought a similar hood last year that was 6 hours away for $500.

I bought a nice BM hood from a forum member about a year ago for $350. But I think that was a great deal. $500 is still a very fair price.

I shipped a hood via Greyhound a few years back. Was by far the cheapest way I found.
