Default Tank Sticker

Merry Christmas to me !

Surprised to see how easy it was to get the tank sticker out of my 72. Actually in decent shape for being 49 years old, only missing a little on the corner.

Congratulations! FWIW- I found a second build sheet over the passenger rear body mount on my '72 LT-1.

That is awesome! I have seen them behind the tach, under the carpet, door panels, in the back area over the body mount, in the frame, and found one where the convertible top channel where the frame mounts on a 69.

Nice Corvette Order Copies, 1972 Ragtop and fieldsjkk.

Does anyone know the significance of the text I circled in red? Both Order Copies have it. The font is reversed so I assume it is printed on the backside.

These were 2 page sheets that appear to have been folded when impressed and you're seeing information from the second sheet. From what I've been able to observe, there were different copies of the order form that traveled with the cars; some with complete info and some narrow (like yours). The 516262 is your VIN suffix and the 91P3-39U9 is from the secret scramble box. I don't know the significance of the scramble box...

Here's my '72's order sheets:

The lower number is the last six digits of your VIN (the sequential serial number). The upper set of numbers are your key codes, one for ignition/doors, the other for storage/spare tire.
