yessir...Ziplock bags tape and sharpies! I have a 1000 'ovaltine' containers!
I'm dealing with a yet unannounced car....TWO ' BUBBA Corvette Centers ' NEVER, EVER placed the correct screws in the correct places! BUBBA= WOODSCREWS holding the door panels on!
Impact screwdriver and penetrating oil. for all those rusty interior phillips screws that will get messed up, if you slowly torque em with a regular screwdriver..
May as well add a dremel to try and slot it for a flathead.
And then a drill. after the head gets annihilated or it breaks at the treads.
Another thing on these cars is to use large towels/blankets to protect the fenders and windshield. also, stuff some towels in the wiper area so you dont lose stuff there. Also, using a block of wood or stepstool is really helpful to reach over the wide fenders and work on stuff easier.
battery power impact gun is a game changer for any suspension work.
also vacuum, all purpose cleaner, cone brush and water. good to clean areas youre working on, might as well.
temp gun
edit: also, on a few occasions a snake camera has come in handy. to check engine, gas tank, cat convertor etc.
I have this cheap one from amazon that works great with my phone. there are probably better ones
Made this years ago and between all my C3s, my friends cars and The guy in town that works on a lot of them, we have used it more times than I care to think.
Steel rod bent perfectly to trip the hood latch when any of the release cables are seized or broken. Taped so nothing scratches and the red tape marks right where it lays against the windshield pillar.
Also two 7/16 wrenches. The one with the blue tape is just the perfect length and the other has been ground down. These are home made special for the dozens of outside door latches I have changed.
From: South of Phoenix Arizona, but North of no-where.
HOME-made TEE TOP CARRY ALL. Easy to roll around the shop OUT OF HARMS WAY and doubles as a great place to hang unused fender covers and store car cover when not in use. (And hides TEE TOPS).

Now that looks like something I don't have and would like to have in my toolbox. Can you show how it works? My buddy always ran a fish line to his latch in case the cable broke. I never ran anything on my cars but always wondered about that.
There is a hole with a plug on the bulkhead between the engine compartment and the wiper compartment. You slide the rod in until the first red tape gets to the rear lip of the hood and the second red tape is at the windshield pillar. A little fiddling will trip the latch. Pretty cold right now but supposed to warm up in the next few days. I pull a cover and get some pics.
