Default Lens and Light Identification Help Please

I recently bought a 1969 Frame and Birdcage and it came with some extra parts. One of the parts I received is this light fixture with a dated 68 lens. I am trying to identify what years this might have been used on; e.g. 1968 or 1969.
I am going to remove the lens and see if the housing and lens can be cleaned up to like new condition.
The plug is still attached but two of the three wires have been broken or cut, not sure which.
Would like to find a good home for this if someone can use it.

Any assistance you can provide in identifying this would be much appreciated.
Thank you and best regards,
David Howard

Hey David-

Its a 68 or 69 front turn signal light assembly. IIRC the 69 was dated 68.

I believe that 68 marking denotes the year that the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) approved the design. So the lamp could have been used on a 68 or 69, since the design changed for 1970.

Nice of you to recycle the part to someone needing one..

With your electrical skills Richard, does the light look like something that might be able to be restored back to working condition?
I figured you might know where someone like me needs to stick to metal parts. LOL.
Hope you are well.
