Default interchangeable rocker panels

Hello all...new to the forum. I purchased a 74 c3 a couple months ago and have been in the process of changing things up on my c3. All cabin electronics from gauges to radio/speakers have been replaced and upgraded to my liking. Modernizing the car because it will be driven a good bit and not living entirely in the garage. Iam now working on the outside of the car and looking to replace the rocker panels. I prefer black rocker panels and notice they did this for 2 or 3 years. Anyone know if they are interchangeable?...hate to buy new ones only having to paint them. Thanks

I certainly would if they were not so mangled up with cracks.

The black ones are 68 and 69. They are 2 piece as well. They should fit on a 74. The later ones are 70 to 77 and I've seen those on 68 and 69. So I assume they would work the other way round. The 68 to 69 are much more expensive on the Corvette stores. Between $650 to $750 whereas yours are about $300.

I saw those years 78 and 79...I would imagine they would be the same for install.

The later rocker panels are a little shorter than the 70-77 ones. Just a heads up. Lou.

I think the bolt patterns change depending on year.

Just get the correct ones for your year and paint them. Put a WTB in the for sale section. Might score a used pair pretty cheap.
